I have lived in Burien for the last 10 years and I love the area, the people in it, and I am passionate about seeing people's hearts change. I plan on being here for the next 30 years, serving families, children, adolescents, teens, individuals, couples and marriages with grace, compassion and mercy.
One of the areas of counseling I love working in is around relationships and family dynamics. I believe relationships are critical to our functioning and when there is a deficit in our relational lives, it can result in anxiety or depression. Additionally, I believe that it is important for us to know and feel that we have some control of our lives. I want to help you regain some control of your life and have good relationships that are not constantly taking from you and causing you to be exhausted.
Finally, I am a Christian and as such, my faith can and often does inform how I see some mental health issues. I feel strongly that all counselors need to have exceptional clinical skills to help people with a wide variety of mental health issues. I also believe that a strong biblical foundation is necessary when it comes to the discipline of counseling. These two approaches, Clinical and Biblical, is where I focus much of my work and how I assess a given situation. Your mental health issues are real and they can be a burden. My goal is to help you understand your mental health needs from a clinical perspective, walk with you through your story, offer a biblical foundation and show grace, care, compassion and competence.
